The Canada Greener Homes Grant is a government initiative that is given towards homeowners who are making the switch to energy efficient appliances within their home. You could be eligible for up to $5,000 in grants and an additional $600 for your audit. The grant also offers up to $40,000 towards interest-free loans with a repayment term of up to 10 years for any energy-efficient upgrades in your home. This helps Canadians cut energy and living costs, while fighting the myriad of environmental issues that we are currently facing. It has been reported that an average of 22 tonnes of greenhouse gasses is produced by an average Canadian household. We have to do our part to save our planet and fight for our environment.
